Clint Saunders is a candidate for California Lieutenant Governor in the 2026 election. With a passion for public service and a commitment to making a difference in their lives, Clint is dedicated to creating positive change in the state. As a leader with a proven track record of success, Clint is ready to take on the challenges facing California and work tirelessly to build a brighter future for all.

My name is Clint Saunders. I was born, raised and have lived in California for my entire life. California is where my roots are. I was born during the second term of U.S. President Jimmy Carter. As a child I remember the times we stood for the pledge of allegiance in grade school and being inspired when watching presidential speeches from President Ronald Regean. My first job helping others was by joining fire and emergency medical services as a teenager. I have always set my goals higher to achieve more education, more knowledge and more skills to attain a leadership position to help my community members and my country.

I am running for the Lieutenant Governor seat because I feel if I do not, the future of California and the United States in entirety will not be what is a sustainable future for our children. Slowly our freedoms are being taken away everyday by an increasing amount of new laws, rules and regulations that is being created within our government. Look at the price increase just to buy food for our families, higher prices for gas for our car, the increase in our utility bill just to stay cool during the tripple digit we are experiencing now in the Summer of 2024. We all work hard to get ahead in life, and the inflation and regulations keeps us unable to quite get there.

This is not a time to vote for someone for their popularity, race, or age. It is time to vote for someone who cares about how his actions will be seen by the people of California. How he will remembered for good things he does for the people he represents, the voters.

As a second time candidate who ran for Lt. Gov. in 2022 wining 4th place out of 9 candidates, I am running again for the Lt. Governor seat in 2026! I feel qualified because of the fact that I do not come from an elite family, I have lived and worked as a resident in California my entire life. I know what you want and need. I understand what difficulties Californians are experiencing because I am living in it too!

► I am here to better the future of California and be "An Advocate For You"!

► I want to bring a better vision of what a politician is to Sacramento.

► I want Good things for the Californians who I represent.

► I want safe and crime free communities.

► I DO NOT want to cause havoc.

A valuable resource I have used to speak with people from all over the world for the past 10 years was as a rideshare driver. In 10 years I have given over 31,000 rides! I have spoken with a lot of my passengers about current events. In these 10 years, I have traveled the greater part of California Bay Area and have seen the homeless in the streets, businesses closing, roads in dire need of repair, wildland fires, etc... I have seen these issues and I want to be in the seat to help make California a better place to live!

► These are all real issues I will address as a leader in California

► I continually study the issues, laws and the best cost effective

way to address the issues in California.

I am also supportive of a limited government as originally crafted in the U.S. Constitution because James Maddison, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, et. al. knew what they did not want from a dictatorship oliarchy as leaders. Because these individuals understood that humans could be more productive and happier with more individual freedoms.

Key Points As Lieutenant Governor

I. As Lieutenant Governor, I will have the opportunity to preside as president of the California Senate, being the 51st vote in the occurance of a tie vote by the 50 Senate members.

II. As president of the Senate, this position will keep me involved in the laws that are processed in our state capital! Here is where I will be an advocate for the people of California, as a leader and vote against bias and unreasonable bills that cause descripencies.

III. As a Republican, I support your bill of rights, our Constitutional freedoms and the prosperity and opportunity for Californians to live well.

My Pledge To You

► I will uphold the oath of office to protect the U.S. Constitution, and the California             Constitution.

► I will not lie to you to sell you ideas. I am realistic and factual. I am tired of being lied to by

our current politicians. The bad things is that the majority of people vote for the liers.

► I will bring back American Values to politics at least in what my actions I do as a leader.

► I am a strong supporter of the U.S. Constitution and our Bill of Rights. I will uphold our right

to bear arms under the 2nd amendment, our right to privacy under the 4th, our right to unfair

and cruel punishment under the 8th and much more

► I will represent YOU. I have lived in California my entire life and I clearly understand how hard

it is to get ahead living in California.

► I DO NOT believe in the socialist ideology. Not all bills and regulations are going to

help Californians. See the first part in "My Duties as Lieutenant Governor" below to

see how I can be in postition to help this matter.

► Use common sense and critical thinking skills to resolve issues in a caring and competent manner.

► I intend to reform laws and policies that cause discrepancies.

► I will bring my integrity and values to represent the people of California and lead by example.

► I will stand and fight for a limited government and the accurate U.S. history taught in schools. Our future depends on good leaders now.

Issues At Hand

Below are many issues I will address while in office.

Again, I will be involved in the bills that go thru the Senate

and I will only support logical bills.

Homeless

Homelessness is a major problem in many California cities. As Lieutenant Governor it is important to me to resolve this issue as soon as I can. We have all seen the negative effects that homelessness has on individuals, neighborhoods, and businesses. The bathrooms at grocery stores, gas stations, etc... are locked and the unsanitary encampments in our cities are not what we want in our communities.

I will collaborate wtih all county level homeless organizations to share ideas and hold accountability. A few years ago when I was studying law, I came across a few court cases where human rights activist won in court against one Califonia county. This group winning let homeless be on the streets. Other cases have been from homeless persons' suing for damages of inadequate shelters. So, to make sure this issue is handled correctly is important to me. This includes accountability, trained professionals to work in the shelters and upholding human rights.

Shoplifting

Shoplifting is a crime that financially affects businesses. Current laws allow up to $950.00 of shoplifting to only be a misdemeanor. Speaking to business managers and employees, shoplifting is a major problem that happens on a daily basis. As Lieutenant Governor this amount of $950 dollars needs to be lowered, have stricter consequences, and fewer regulations that prevent managers and employees from intercepting offenders.

Drugs

Drug trafficing and drug abuse in the U.S. has an economic cost estimated of $215 billion. The major services effected by this has caused an overburden of the justice system and the healthcare system. This is an issue that needs to be dealth with from the root of the issue. This includes securing California's southern international border to prevent importation of drugs.

Legal Immigration / Border Security

Immigration is a multi-element issue. First, there are Federal immigration laws need to be upheld. Second, the safety and well-being of both citizens and emigrants are mandatory. This includes checking every person for
their criminal history and medical testing before entering the U.S.A. Our resources cannot be overwhelmed with a free pass on our borders. What would happen if you let a family move into your home and you had to pay for their food, clothes, medical, and utilities? Could you afford that? Would you just let anybody move into your home and not know their criminal history if any or medical condition? This is not the best choice for anyone to endanger themselves or their family with.
Every act has a negative and positive impact. Securing our homes and our borders is important to help keep us safe and healthy.
Anyone coming to America to be a citizen should always follow the rule of law because America is the best country to live and build your own dreams in. Destroying American values will only destroy the country.

Crime

The safety and security of Californians is important to me as a leader. We need safe communities! A safe community to ride our bikes, go to local parks, go to events with friends and families, and be able to be safe walking on the sidewalks in our communities.
Laws need to be upheld so people understand there are consequences to violating them. Victims need justice to be served on perpetrators. I support law enforcement and citizens who respect the laws and law officers.

Education

Common core has lowered the average scores of students. I have seen the difficulty with common core math questions for students. Education should teach children critical thinking, money management, and life skills. Not a false narrative. Critical Race theory is another ideology that should not be taught in our schools. Children graduate high school are thinking the American flag is racist, and that this country was created by racism and capitalism. Children need to know the correct history of America.
When I studied law in college, my grade depends on how well I find facts and interpret statutory laws, writing skills, writing case briefs, and research to find and cite legal cases.

Taxes

California taxes are too high. Businesses and families are moving out of the state because of high taxes. These taxes include business taxes, property taxes, regulations, and not to forget the taxes on each gallon of gasoline! High taxes that push us past affordable are unconscionable! Getting taxes under control, and bringing businesses and families back to California is a priority for me to accomplish as Lieutenant Governor! I know I am only one person, but if I can set reason for future tax laws in context, that will be one step toward success.

Voter ID

Voter ID is a must. When I first voted in 1998, I had to show my ID. Since then I have only voted by mail in ballot. The laws have gotten less restrictive to who can vote in state and federal elections. DMV has a "Motor Voter" registration form on the back of the drivers license application. I do not believe much if any identification needs to be shown to register these applicants as voters in California. This is absurd!
The 2020 Presidential elections not being declared immediately after the 3rd day of the November elections is a clear example of what happens when ballots are not kept in a chain of command. In 1975 mail-in ballots were banned in Corsica France due to massive voting fraud. In this example, ballots were stolen, bought, votes from dead people, and multiple votes by one person. This is not a fair election as described in the U.S. Constitution. All voting laws should be upheld with integrity for all elections.
